Dr. Joy Patankar was a man who truly embodied the term “joie de vivre”. All those who have interacted with joy will vouch for this fact.
Joy was an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who loved to stress on practical aspect of training, rather than overburden students with tons of theories. Case presentations made to joy were an enjoyable affair which besides being intellectually stimulating were also interspersed with touches of philosophy delivered in his characteristic “Maharashtrian” colloquial wisdom.
He was someone who thought ahead of his times and many of his ideas translated into clinically relevant procedures, techniques and instrumentation.
This course aims to carry on the tradition of clinically oriented teaching as a tribute to Dr. Joy Patankar and his philosophy of constantly keeping oneself updated with the current state of the art methods and techniques. |
